Dancing in San Diego

My friend Jonelle. Here in Mira Mesa, California. Pics taken outside the garage - made into a dancestudio - of Marvin RS Garcia and his family. I love how she looks in these photos. She is such a happy soul and adventurous.

The light was beautiful this day. I miss that light of summer and California. Especially now when living in cold, november-Sweden. I can easily understand why movies are made in this area. Well. Almost. This is San Diego. As we all know Los Angeles is the mecka of movie-making.

Marvin´s father is cleaning the car outside the dancestudio as we practise.
One day I will own a studio like this. When I buy my house in the countryside. It´s been a dream for a long, long time to have my own dance-studio. A place where I can find myself again, relax and dance with other human beings who are in love with this expression.
I can see myself in the mirror.
Marvin and Nelson watching a Little haitian dance-performance and Marvins father is joining them for a minute after washing that car.
Back-flip practise, or whatever you call it.

I love hip hop... I have been dancing modern, jazz and ballet mostly but when I started dancing street and hip-hop I truly fell in love.
My photos from the dancing part turned out "so and so".. I was too busy dancing myself. But I wan´t to put them here anyway since it was that we did that day; danced... And ate good food.
Marvin Garcia. Awesome dancer.
Leslie Guzman. Incredible hip-hop choreographer.
Such a happy sunny day consisting of dancing. It will rest in my heart as a wonderful memory. Here is Nelson Marin from L.A joining us and his boyfriend Marvin.
Jonelle has been traveling in Europe once all by herself. Next year she will probably visit Sweden too.
