Encinitas 2015 and lunar energy

Here far away
One could feel the earth vibrate
Moon changing shape and shade
As we all do under its gaze
Yellow moon on the rise
Yellow moon on the rise
/Lyrics from Yellow Moon, by Pearl Jam

Encinitas is different this year. I don´t know what it is? I never felt so in touch with all the different flavours and subtle shiftings in the weather and vibe: from rain to extreme sunshine and humidity. From high, chaotic waves and tides to super-low tides and calmness. Also there´s the moon. That bloody moon (mood has changed a lot, maybe because of it?). I hade seen that it was going to occur soon on the net. But forgot about it. One day, after watching the sunset and exploring my selftrigger and some dance-moves, on the evening of september 27, I was so surprised. I had just come up from the stairs leading from the beach. I was met by a crowd of people in different ages cheering, drinking and chatting. Being seemingly happy and curious. A half-mexican started talking to me almost immediately when I was at the top of the stairs, some other people guessed that I was from Australia. Everyone seemed friendly and open-hearted. I grabbed my bike-key after a little exchanges of sentences. And imagine the surprise when my eyes looked up. There it was. Mysterious, starting to shift shape to its total lunar eclipse shape.
I stopped.
- But. The moon, was all I could say
- Yes, it is the total lunar eclipse, the half-mexican said
- It is going to be craaazy!

I was lucky. I hade planned to go by bike 25 minutes away, to a reiki-healing-yoga-class. I said bye to the friendly crowd and started riding on my bike. As I came further down the road, I had the ocean on my right side - seen from above - and the moon on my left side. I can´t really describe that evening. It was just wonderful, mysterious, warm, calm. And dark! At the same time. I also passed a group at Swamis Beach playing drums and dancing what seemed to be an ecstatic dance. I´ve never felt this hippie-vibe in Encinitas so strongly before, ever. It has showed itself in visual pictures past years when I have visited, but not in my whole body. And soul. And senses. It is almost as if one could feel new and old souls gathering and sending out their vibes. From Charlie Chaplin-steps and Richared Dreyfuss-smiles, to sitar-music from Anoushka shankar. And Pearl Jam-notes in my ears.
It´s almost as if I´m expecting to run into Eddie Vedder.
People who used to live here. Richard lives here, still.
The other day I overheard an old man at my favourite coffee-shop Pannikin, talking to a couple about Charlie Chaplin. About his dating and woman. I didn´t actually know he used to live here. I just looked it up. Encinitas <3
